I have recntly bought a new HP laptop and installed Microsoft 365 Personal which included 1T storage. My Microsoftaccount shows that I have 1T store of which I have used 0.1GB. However when I try to copy a 475GB folder I get told that I only have 295GB free.

Please advise

It seems like you are encountering an issue with OneDrive storage reporting. Even though your Microsoft account shows that you have 1TB of storage with only 0.1GB used, the error message indicates that you have only 295GB free when trying to copy a 475GB folder. This discrepancy could be due to several reasons:

    1. OneDrive Storage Limit: Ensure that you have not exceeded any specific limits set by OneDrive. Sometimes, even if the total storage is available, there might be restrictions on individual file sizes or folder limits.
    2. Temporary Files: Check if there are temporary files or hidden files taking up space in your OneDrive that may not be reflected in the main storage usage.
    3. Sync Issues: There might be a sync issue with OneDrive. You can try unlinking and relinking your OneDrive account or resetting the OneDrive app to see if that resolves the problem.
    4. Storage Quota Diagnostics: If the issue persists, you may want to run diagnostics in the Microsoft 365 admin center to check for any underlying issues with your OneDrive storage quota.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above solutions work, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for assistance with your OneDrive account.

Make sure to check these aspects to troubleshoot the issue effectively.
