Microsoft Edge no longer opens on my desktop or laptop PC's. I have tried all the repair, reinstall, system file checker suggestions, and nothing seems to help. When I click on the MS Egde App. I get a small blue circle momentairily, but nothing else happens. If I go look in Task Manager, the Edge process never runs.

    If Microsoft Edge fails to open and you have already tried repair and reinstall options without success, it may be due to a known issue. Some users have reported that Microsoft Edge fails to launch, and the issue persists through reboots and updates. In such cases, it is recommended to file a bug report through the Feedback Hub app under the category Install and Update > Downloading, installing, and configuring Windows Update, as there are no known workarounds at this time.

    Additionally, ensure that your Windows is up-to-date, as updates may resolve underlying issues affecting Edge's performance.

    Hi,

    I understand that you are having an issue with Microsoft Edge and that you have already tried resetting and reinstalling it without success.

    When did the issue start?

    Try the steps below:

    On your keyboard, press Windows + R the type or copy and paste: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge\

    Back up the User Data folder and store it in a different location.

    Once completed, delete the folder from the path mentioned above.

    Then check to see if the issue is fixed.

    If not, re-register all Windows apps:

    1. On your keyboard, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc
    2. Click on File and choose "Run new task"
    3. Type: powershell. Make sure to put a check on the "Create this task with administrative privileges" box
    4. Copy and paste the command below then press Enter.

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode}

    Note: Please ignore any red errors and tet the process complete and then restart your PC.
