tried signing into my email, but I need to insert the code on the authenticator app, but the app won’t let me put in the code until I sign into my account on the app. It is an endless circle where I cannot access my account

It sounds like you're experiencing a common issue with the Microsoft Authenticator app where you need to sign in to access the verification code, but you can't sign in without the code. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:

    1. Check Your Backup Codes: If you have previously set up backup codes for your account, you can use one of those to sign in.
    2. Use a Different Device: If you have access to another device where you can install the Microsoft Authenticator app, try signing in there.
    3. Recovery Options: Look for any recovery options provided by your email service. This may include answering security questions or receiving a recovery email.
    4. Contact Support: If none of the above options work, consider reaching out to the support team for your email provider for assistance in regaining access to your account.

If you are using the Microsoft Authenticator app, remember that it can generate OATH verification codes, but you need to be able to access the app to retrieve them. If you are unable to access the app due to this loop, support from your email provider may be necessary to reset your two-step verification settings.
