My outlook programs will not open for mail or calendar.

I purchased 365 and it won't open either.

    Hi,

Outlook won’t open because its profile or cached credentials became corrupted after an update or during activation. Even with a valid Microsoft 365 subscription, the app can fail to launch if these components are broken.

    Quick path to recovery:

Start Outlook in Safe Mode (outlook.exe /safe) and disable add-ins.

Repair Office (Quick Repair first, then Online Repair).

Clear Outlook and Office credentials in Windows Credential Manager.

Create a new Outlook profile under Control Panel > Mail.

Sign back in with your subscription account.

Let me know how it goes, Happy to help!

If Outlook is not opening for mail or calendar, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that you have the latest updates installed for Outlook and Microsoft 365.
    2. Run Outlook in Safe Mode: You can start Outlook in Safe Mode to see if the issue is caused by add-ins. Press Windows + R, type Outlook /safe, and press Enter. If it opens in Safe Mode, you may need to disable add-ins.
    3. Repair Office: Go to Control Panel, select "Uninstall a program," find your Office installation, right-click it, and choose "Change" then select "Online Repair."
    4. Create a New Profile: Sometimes, a corrupted profile can cause issues. You can create a new Outlook profile by going to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add.
    5. Check for Conflicting Programs: Ensure that no other programs are interfering with Outlook.
    6. Run Outlook Diagnostics: Use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to diagnose and fix issues with Outlook.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
