When searching for a contact in Outlook I don't get the correct response. Most often the contact is not in the search list.User's image

Hi SueHill-0497, I get how frustrating this is when you know a contact is in your address book but Outlook keeps showing the wrong results it can feel like youre wasting time chasing something that should be simple.

To improve contact search in Outlook use quotes for exact phrase searches like maple eye care switch to People view rebuild the search index via Windows or Outlook settings verify the contact is stored in your Microsoft 365 account clear the AutoComplete cache and if needed use Advanced Find Ctrl+Shift+F to search specifically within Contacts.

When you search for the contact are you doing it from the Mail view or the People Contacts view and is the missing contact stored in your Microsoft 365 account or in a local PST file?

    Best regards
