    Hi Mr. Satyasarathi Dhal,

I understand that you’re experiencing an issue where the user profile cannot be loaded after restoring a Windows Server 2022 Domain Controller from a System State backup.

Please help refer to bellow steps to address the issue:

    Method 1:

    1. Restart your computer: This is one of the simplest solutions that can often resolve many issues.
    2. Boot the computer in Safe Mode: This can help resolve startup issues that can cause user profile issues. Here’s how you can do it:
    3. Left-click the Start button, click the Power icon, hold the Shift key, and hit Restart.
    4. Click on Troubleshoot, then select the Advanced options.
    5. Click on Startup Settings and select Restart.
    6. Press 4 to Enable Safe Mode.

    Method 2: Modify Regkey

    1. In the Command Prompt window, type whoami /user and press Enter to get the SID (security ID). Note the value under SID.
    2. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog. Type in regedit and hit Enter.
    3. In the address bar of the Registry Editor, copy and paste the path given below and press Enter:
         HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

    4. Within the ProfileList subkey, find and click the SID noted earlier. Then, double-click the ProfileImagePath entry on the right. Note: If you see two identical SID keys under the ProfileList subkey, select the one without “.bak” at the end.
    5. Type the correct profile path and click OK. Your profile path is C:\Users\YourProfileName, where YourProfileName is the name of your profile.
    6. Within the ProfileList key, right-click on the duplicate SID key (with .bak at the end) and select Delete.
    7. Restart your computer after this and Windows should sign you in to your profile instead of a temporary one.

There’s a chance that Windows is showing you the “You’ve been logged on with a temporary profile” error because some of the data in your user account has become corrupted. If that’s the case, your best option is to create and switch to a new user account and transfer all the data to it.

_If you believe this information adds some value, please accept the answer so that your experience with the issue would help contribute to the whole communi_ty.

    T&R,

    Kate.
