An error appears saying that I entered the wrong password too many times. I have already created a new password, and it still shows the same error.

    Hi,

It seems that your account has been blocked due to multiple failed attempts. Since resetting the password did not fix the issue, try the following:

Try signing in using “Other ways to sign in” instead of entering your password. From there, choose to receive a code through your linked verification methods.

If the issue persists, try using incognito mode in your browser and then use the sign-in helper tool to sign in: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2214157

If that doesn’t work, I suggest waiting more than 24 hours without making any sign-in attempts so the block caused by repeated sign in attempts will expire and allow you to sign in afterward.

If you are receiving an error stating that you have entered the wrong password too many times, it is possible that your account is temporarily locked due to multiple failed login attempts. Typically, after three incorrect attempts, you may be locked out for a period of time (often around five minutes). Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Wait for a few minutes: If your account is locked, wait for the lockout period to expire before trying to log in again.
    2. Verify your new password: Ensure that you are entering the new password correctly, without any extra spaces or errors. If you are copying and pasting the password, make sure there are no spaces before or after the password characters.
    3. Contact your administrator: If the issue persists, it may be necessary to contact your Active Directory administrator to check if there are any additional issues with your account.
    4. Consider password synchronization issues: If your organization uses password synchronization, ensure that your computer password is updated and synced correctly with your Microsoft 365 account.

If you continue to have trouble logging in, you may need to reset your password again or check with your administrator for further assistance.
