How do I disable copilot in powerpoint

How do I disable copilot in powerpoint? I've managed to disable it in word and excel, and removed the icon from the ribbon, but the icon is persistent on my screen when I'm trying to build powerpoint presentations. It's a menace, and the microsoft help suggests there an oh-so-convenient checkbox in options that I can uncheck AND IT'S NOT THERE. It even further suggests that as long as i have version 2501 or later the checkbox to disable copilot will be available. It's not - I have version 2511.

Can we please have a fix to disable the menace that is copilot?

• Confirming that your Office apps are updated through File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
• Checking whether your account is on the Current Channel (Preview) or another update channel, as availability can differ.
