Graph Error: only 1 work item is allowed per document library

I had tried to download a folder from OneDrive that had for some reason failed and corrupted, however I had permanently deleted it from OneDrive before finding the error. I had restored my OneDrive to a previous date, but it looks like I need to go back even farther in order to recover my file.

Since I'm on a time crunch, I went to do this immediately and received an error: “We couldn’t start your restore. Please go back to the restore page and try again. Graph Error: only 1 work item is allowed per document library”. I reached out to OneDrive support but haven't heard anything yet, is anyone able to help me?

I have tried on a private window as well, but at this point I don't know what else to do.

The error message you are encountering, "Graph Error: only 1 work item is allowed per document library," suggests that there is a limitation in the OneDrive or SharePoint system regarding the restoration of items. This could be due to the way the document library is configured or how the restoration process is being handled.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

    1. Check Document Library Name: Ensure that your document library is named "Documents." If it has been renamed, you may need to rename it back to "Documents" to resolve the issue. You can do this using the Microsoft Admin site or SharePoint Designer, as detailed in the context.
    2. Try Different Browsers: Since you've already tried a private window, consider using a different browser altogether to see if the issue persists.
    3. Wait and Retry: Sometimes, system errors can be temporary. Wait a little while and try the restore process again.
    4. Contact Support Again: If the issue continues, it might be helpful to follow up with OneDrive support for further assistance, as they may have more insights into this specific error.

If none of these steps work, you may need to consider restoring from a backup if available, or checking if there are any other recovery options provided by Microsoft.

If you deleted the document from the OneDrive recycle bin at onedrive.com, it cannot be restored.
