I have a desktop computer that is less than a year old running Windows 11. I activated Windows when I bought the computer and it worked fine for many months. It recently started displaying a message in the lower right corner of the screen saying "Active Windows. Go to settings to active Windows." When I go to the system, activation screen it says activation state not active. It also says We Cant active Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. If you think you do have a valid license or key, select troubleshoot below. Error code: 0xC004F012.

When I select troubleshoot, it says something interrupted our troubleshooting. Make sure you're connected to the internet, wait a few minutes and try again. (0xc0000022). You can activate this device by going to the store and purchasing a genuine copy of Windows. My computer was connected to the internet the entire time and I get that message repeatedly. When I select go to store I get a message that says something happened and we couldn't make your copy of Windows genuine. I contacted the computer manufacture who gave me a new product key to try. When I select change product key and enter the new key is says The product key you entered didn't work.

Any suggestions or help is very much appreciated.

Ok, you need to do a repair install. That alone would most likely address the activation issue.

To perform a repair installation of Windows 11 using the Windows Media Creation Tool:

The following steps should be done on a working Windows computer:

Download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's official website. https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 click on the "download now" button under "Create Windows 11 Installation Media"

Run the tool and select "Create installation media for another PC."

Choose "USB flash drive" as the media to use for the installation and select "Next."

Connect a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space to your computer.

Select the USB flash drive you want to use, and then select "Next."

The tool will then download the required files and create the installation media.

Now these steps will  be done on your problematic computer:

Go to the USB drive via File Explorer, locate and run the Setup.exe file. Ideally, you should disconnect all USB and Bluetooth devices other than mouse and keyboard. Disable any 3rd party antivirus program. Disconnect the internet.

Once you run the Setup.exe file, choose the Install option, and the choose the option that keeps your files and apps.

Can you please type cmd in the search on the taskbar and hit enter to launch command prompt, then run the following command:

    slmgr /dlv

Then share a screenshot please. Thanks!
