When I turn my laptop on it starts to load in, sometimes it loads into windows, then it freezes and says it ran into a problem and restarts. After it restarts it crashes and prepares automatic repair, opens up BitLocker but not enough time to enter the recovery key, goes to your device ran it a problems and needs to restart. We’ll restart for you. And has stop code: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (0x124). Then it loops this cycle until it freezes. And will not unfreeze until turned off or it dies.

To address the Stop Code: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (0x124) issue, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check Hardware Connections: Ensure that all hardware components are properly connected. Loose connections can cause system errors.
    2. Run Hardware Diagnostics: Use the hardware diagnostics tools provided by your laptop manufacturer to check for any hardware issues.
    3. Update Drivers: Ensure that all device drivers, especially for critical components like the graphics card and motherboard, are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager or by visiting the manufacturer's website.
    4. Memory Diagnostics: Run the Windows Memory Diagnostics tool to check for memory issues. You can access this by searching for "Memory" in the Control Panel and selecting "Diagnose your computer's memory problems."
    5. Check for Overheating: Ensure that your laptop is not overheating, as this can lead to hardware failures. Clean any dust from vents and ensure proper airflow.
    6. Inspect Event Viewer: Check the Event Viewer for any critical errors that occurred around the time of the crashes. This can provide clues about the underlying issue.
    7. Safe Mode: If the system allows, boot into Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is related to drivers or software.
    8. System File Checker: Use the System File Checker tool to repair any corrupted system files. Run the command SFC /scannow in an elevated Command Prompt.
    9. Check for Updates: Make sure your Windows installation is fully updated with the latest patches and updates from Microsoft.
    10. Contact Support: If the issue persists after trying these steps, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support or your laptop manufacturer for further assistance.

These steps can help identify and potentially resolve the underlying cause of the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.

    Hi,

in general, this stop code means hardware problem but in some cases, it may be caused by drivers.

Can you share several minidumps to OneDrive for analysis?

Please check if the problem exists in the safe mode.

    Tell the result.

Did you try to select same mode using installation media?

You may boot from installation media and use command prompt to copy minidumps to this media, then use another PC to upload dumps to OneDrive.
