Reset product key activation code on another email

I recently activated my Office Home 2024 product key using a Microsoft account. I later realised that the license was activated under the wrong Microsoft email account. When I attempt to activate Office using my preferred Microsoft account on the same device, I receive a message stating that a different account was used previously (see attached message).

I understand that Office Home 2024 licenses are typically permanently linked to the first Microsoft account used. However, I would like to kindly ask whether a one-time license reset might be possible in my case, as this activation was done unintentionally. As the computer is used by my daughter abroad, my email security or personal account would be compromised as my account has to be used to activate the key or remain open when uses the packages.

  • Microsoft account currently linked to the license: ******@live.co.uk
  • Microsoft account I wish to use instead: yabu9753@outlook.com

There is no method provided to move a Microsoft Office licence or subscription from one Microsoft account to another account, you cannot do that yourself, the only option would be to try to contact Microsoft Support directly, provide them with proof of purchase and ask them if it is possible to move that licence for you to the other account, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option
