Hi Folks,

I have a requirement to relocate message tracking logs from a drive with tight space constraints to a drive with ample space.

Can anyone provide guidance on the correct process for doing this? Ideally would like to retain existing 30 days worth of logs so that they can continue to be searched.

I understand the log location can be set via set-transportservice cmdlet but would appreciate any advice around process of moving the existing logs/indexes and whether services should be stopped during file moves.

Thanks,
Michael

When you make the change, I would stop the transport service and restart after the move - I would recommend it.
You can then move any existing logs to the new location, they wont move with that change.

You can do this anytime, it wont affect end users.

Thanks for the rapid answer Andy - will give this a shot (possibly tomorrow) and report back.

    Cheers,
