This happens way too often due to a backend glitch from Microsoft, and we have seen a lot of reports today. It should typically resolve in a day or two without any action. I appreciate your patience while Microsoft works on the same. If it does not help, fill a support form:

    https://support.xbox.com/game/microsoft-casual-games/forms/microsoft-casual-games-support

A friendly reminder that this is a community support forum where users help other users. Advisors participating here cannot make changes to Microsoft services or access internal systems and can only provide technical guidance, independent of Microsoft's Policy decisions.

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

I have my subscription paid up until October 2026. Now it asks me to subscribe to premium. Already well paid up. What is going on?

The subscription also goes off, if you start the game on another device. The subscription is per device, not per account.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

In most cases, ads can return in Microsoft Solitaire if the Premium (ad-free) subscription has expired, if the app is signed in with a different Microsoft account, or due to a temporary sync or licensing issue. Just to set expectations as well, the ad-free version is a recurring subscription, not a one-time purchase.

To help narrow this down, could you tell me a bit more about what happened before you noticed the ads coming back?

    1. Are you currently signed in to Microsoft Solitaire with the same Microsoft account you used to purchase the ad-free version?
    2. Did you recently reinstall Windows, reset the app, or sign in to a different account?
    3. Do you remember when you last renewed or purchased the Solitaire Premium subscription?

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
