This PC had issues when trying to sign in this morning where the login screen would not show the white text bar to enter a PIN and would flash black any time I touched a key on the keyboard, not allowing me to sign in. The on-screen power button would only show for a second then disappear as well. Repeated restarts (manually via the physical power button) did not seem to make any difference. This was "fixed" through a hard shutoff where I unplugged the PC after manually powering it off. In the event viewer I saw multiple instances of the following:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load. Device: {DD8E82AE-334B-49A2-AEAE-AEB0FD5C40DD}\DetectionVerification\5&26a9edad&0&0 Status: 0xC0000365

I left the PC on and returned to it a while later and did a reboot. However during the boot, while loading with the "Lenovo" brand screen (this is an AIO PC, for whatever its worth) it said the PC had an issue and had to restart, so it restarted itself and then worked fine, but showed a new instance of the above in the event viewer.

Upon further investigation I found multiple instances of unexpected shutdowns.

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

All 5 minidumps I found are here:

Please note this is a family member's PC and I was not present for any of these issues prior to this morning. This is a brand new computer that was installed less than two weeks ago.

Edit: Ran the Lenovo diagnostic tool and it returned the following memory Failures.

    Hello,

The first issue you're describing with the missing pin input is a known issue with windows 11, it's there, it's just invisible, the workaround is to click where you expect it to be and type the PIN as normal (ridiculous i know).

For the second issue i recommend performing a corrupt file search and repair.

    Open Start, type: CMD

    Right click CMD

    Click Run as administrator

Type in at the prompt OR Copy and Paste these one at a time : (Hit enter after each)

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Also run the System File Checker utility:

    Open Start, type: CMD

    Right click CMD

    Click Run as administrator

At the Command Prompt, type: sfc /SCANNOW

This will check for any integrity violations

    Hope this helps,

    JC
