can't log into azure due to inactivity

I cannot log into the Azure Portal. This is maddening and can't get support for it as the support site keeps re-directing me to the portal.

    I created a new tenant/account with a new email and then added my actual email as a user with admin privileges. Not ideal or expected, but will work for now. It is rather unnerving however. If I had had a bunch of work/data in the old tenant and it was just summarily locked out it would/could be a real crisis. Kind of unnerving.
