Cannot Login Microsoft Entra ID with Microsoft Authenticator

Translate:

When logging into Azure using my personal account, the web page sends a verification code to my Authenticator app, but the Azure app on my phone displays:

An error occurred while searching for the account to complete multi-factor authentication. You may need to add this account again.

I tried re-adding my personal account to the Authenticator app, but the error persists every time I log in to Azure.

To troubleshoot this issue, when I tried logging into https://aka.ms/mfasetup with my personal Microsoft account, I received the following error:

Personal accounts cannot be used here. Please use a work or school account instead.

I also downloaded the Azure app on my phone and can access it normally. However, I'm unable to reach the "Microsoft Entra ID" management → "Sign-in methods" section. Now I'm stuck in a login loop: every time I try to change my sign-in method, I must verify via Authenticator—but I can't receive the verification code. How can I fix this?

    Hello TMB,

The issue pertains to a tenant lockout, where no other global admin in the tenant has the necessary permissions to login and make changes in your tenant.

To resolve this, we have engaged our Data Protection team through a support ticket. They will reach out to you via email or phone to help restore access to the tenant and assist in resolving the issue.
