To recover a hacked account, follow these steps:

    1. Password Reset: If you can access the email linked to the hacked account, initiate a password reset. Choose a strong, unique password that you haven't used previously.
    2. Secure Your Email: If the email account associated with the hacked account is compromised, secure it first by changing its password and enabling multifactor authentication (MFA) if possible.
    3. Review Account Activity: After regaining access, check for any unauthorized changes or activities on your account. Look for altered recovery options or linked accounts.
    4. Remove Suspicious Changes: Investigate your account for any unauthorized transactions or modifications and report any suspicious activities to the service provider.
    5. Enable Multifactor Authentication: To enhance security, enable MFA on your account to help prevent future unauthorized access.
    6. Contact Customer Support: If you cannot recover the account through the above methods, reach out to the service provider's support team for further assistance. They can guide you through the recovery process.

In cases where users have lost access to all authentication methods, Microsoft Entra ID Account Recovery can assist in regaining access through a robust identity verification process, ensuring that only the legitimate account owner can recover their account.

Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

Since you do not have access to the account, kindly follow the steps below:

Method 1. Recover a Microsoft account by resetting the password:

Go to this link: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2273955 and follow the prompt to reset the password.

    For reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/reset-a-forgotten-microsoft-account-password-eff4f067-5042-c1a3-fe72-b04d60556c37

Method 2. If you cannot reset the password or are unable to verify the account, I recommend submitting a recovery form:

Please complete the form and expect a reply within a couple of days.
