I am not a Microsoft 365 subscriber. I accidentally sync my Desktop file to onedrive on 15 Dec 25. On 16 Dec 25, I noticed that my onedrive was full with capacity and unable to send email, so I deleted the "recent" uploaded files from both "My Files" and "Recycle Bins" to allow me to send email. However, when I opened my pc on 17 Dec 25, I realised my files disappeared one by one. Appreciate your advise if I subscribe Microsoft 365 now, is it possible for me to restore the Onedrive to get back those deleted files? Those files are important for me and I didn't know files deleted from onedrive.com web also will disappeared from desktop.

I'm not sure you can restore your files by subscribing to Microsoft 365. So I would go with a free trial.

If you subscribe to Microsoft 365 now, you may have the ability to restore deleted files from OneDrive, but there are some important considerations:

    1. Files Restore Feature: OneDrive has a Files Restore feature that allows users to restore files to any point within the last 30 days. However, this feature is only available if you have a Microsoft 365 subscription.
    2. Recycle Bin: When you delete files from OneDrive, they are moved to the Recycle Bin, where they are kept for a designated time (typically 93 days for work or school accounts). If you have deleted files from both "My Files" and the Recycle Bin, they may be permanently deleted, especially if the retention period has expired.
    3. Restoration Process: If you subscribe to Microsoft 365, you can potentially restore your OneDrive to a previous state, but it depends on whether the files are still recoverable within the retention policies in place.

In summary, subscribing to Microsoft 365 may provide you with options to restore your files, but it is crucial to act quickly and check if the files are still within the recoverable timeframe.
