Issue with adding custom domain to API management service

I'm having issue with adding custom domain in API management service
First I add the custom domain then save then it says "Service is being updated - this operation might take up to 80 minutes...." then the custom domain i added disappear

Please I need urgent help on this,

Updating APIM (including custom domains) is a long-running operation; changes can take many minutes (and for large / multi-region instances may take longer).

If the operation fails, the portal may roll back the change, and the hostname will disappear.

Open the resource Activity log of APIM resource and look for the failed/pending/success update operation — the error text often points exactly at the cause (for example Forbidden → Key Vault access; certificate validation → DNS or certificate problems). The create/update REST operation is long-running; check its status and failure details.
