​We want a masterpiece: a smartphone that combines the legendary durability of the Lumia series with the unmatched interface of Live Tiles. You had the best design, the best ergonomics, and the most fluid OS. Your only mistake was giving up on the app ecosystem instead of fighting for it.

​If you release a modern, 'indestructible' smartphone today with a refined Windows Mobile OS and full app support, it would be a triumph. People are tired of fragile glass rectangles and boring icons. Give us back the tiles! Give us back the reliability! Give us a true Microsoft Phone."

Microsoft officially ended support for Windows 10 Mobile on December 10, 2019, which means that users no longer receive security updates, hotfixes, or technical support. This decision has left many former users feeling abandoned, as Windows Mobile was known for its unique features like Live Tiles and the durable design of the Lumia series. While there is a nostalgic call for a revival of Windows Mobile, any potential comeback would need to address the significant challenges of competing in a market dominated by Android and iOS, particularly in terms of app ecosystem and user experience.

Currently, Microsoft has shifted its focus towards integrating its services across various platforms rather than developing a new mobile operating system. Therefore, while the desire for a new Microsoft phone with the qualities of Windows Mobile is understandable, there are no indications from Microsoft that such a product is in development.
