how to change format of downloads

since installing Windows 11 the downloads of data files end up in Mozilla format. I use mozilla as browser. How to change format of downloads ot PDF ?

Most likely this is just caused by a file association problem.

Right click the file you downloaded and select Properties.

ON the resulting dialog, is the 'Type of File' indicated as (.pdf)?

If so, there should be a 'Change' button on that dialog, click it and select your preferred app to open PDF files, that will reset the file association on the PDF file type
