Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.
To help narrow down the issue:
- Is this a laptop keyboard or an external keyboard?
- I noticed you posted under Microsoft 365 subscription. Does the keyboard issue happen only in Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook) or everywhere in Windows?
- What exactly happens when you type (missed letters, delays, wrong characters, keys not responding)?
In the meantime, if you haven’t already:
- Restart your PC (if you haven’t already).
Check keyboard settings:
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Typing
- Make sure no unexpected options (like Filter Keys) were turned on after the update.
Update or reinstall the keyboard driver:
- Open Device Manager. Click Windows key + X and click Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and choose Update driver
- If that doesn’t help, try Uninstall device, then restart the PC (Windows will reinstall it automatically).
If you’re using an external keyboard:
- Try unplugging it and testing another USB port, or test with a different keyboard if possible.
If the issue persists, please provide more details by answering my questions.
