Hi, I have a question about microsft word formatting.

The issue is, i get a document to format properly from student.

Some documents have a prblem regarding spacing.

I give example. the spacing is 1.5 (before 0pt, after 0pt). But there are diffrenet in gap between the space. Seem like a bigger shadow appear below and after word, image etc.

1.5 lines of spacing will be larger with a larger font (compared to a smaller font). I am guessing that is not the issue in your sample.

A more likely explanation is that the document may contain blank paragraphs, added because someone pressed Enter twice. To find out, click the ¶ icon on the Home tab to display nonprinting marks. Para marks are represented by pilcrows, ¶.

If you can't get it sorted, consider sharing a representative sample document with the forum. Make sure that the sample does not contain any sensitive information that you do not want to share. You can upload your sample to OneDrive (or Dropbox) and post a download link in this thread.

Looking at your sample document, there is some additional paragraph spacing added to (some of) the text paragraphs, specifically Spacing After.

The insertion point is in the main heading (Heading 1) and the Paragraph dialog box indicates Spacing After. See the screen shot below.

Note that the paragraph spacing is specified in the "line" unit. I have forgotten what that unit actually means, but my guess is that it is relevant in some languages (maybe, but not necessarily, some East Asian languages).

You can change the Spacing After back to whatever you prefer. Note that you have to type the value in points. Just using the arrow will keep the "line" unit of measurement.

When you are done, update the style definition to match the selection.
