Fingerprint reader suddenly stopped working. Working one second, not the next. No updates, BIOS changes. When I looked in SETTNGS, it says: ASUS laptop, USB A TEC reader. Windows signals when I plug it in or take it out. Anything I can do to get it back?

Fingerprint reader suddenly stopped working. Working one second, not the next. No updates, BIOS changes. When I looked in SETTNGS, it says:

User's image ASUS laptop, USB A TEC reader. Windows signals when I plug it in or take it out.

Anything I can do to get it back?

Copilot kinda figured it out. Microsoft's recent security upgrades have bricked my fingerprint reader. Have to buy a new one.
