In Windows 11, when capturing a specific screen region using the screenshot tool, the pasted image does not match the selected area and instead shows a different part of the screen.

When using the snipping tool (whether by pressing the printscreen button or a combination of windows+shift+r or using the snipping tool, after defining the area I want to copy I paste it and then another part of the page (that I did not try and capture) is pasted. I tried solving with suggestions from Chat GPT but to no avail. Thanks for your helps

    Open the Settings App.

Go to Apps - Installed Apps.

Scroll down to find the Snipping Tool app and uninstall it form there.

Restart (not shut down) your PC, then download and install the latest version of the Snipping Tool app from the Store.

If that does not resolve the problem, go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website, then form there, download and manually re-install (not update) the version of graphics drivers they prov ide.

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the Snipping Tool in Windows 11 where the captured image does not correspond to the selected area. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that your Windows 11 and Snipping Tool are up to date. Sometimes, bugs are fixed in newer versions.
    2. Restart the Snipping Tool: Close the Snipping Tool completely and reopen it to see if the issue persists.
    3. Use Different Capture Modes: Try using different capture modes (Rectangle, Freeform, Window) to see if one works better than the others.
    4. Check Clipboard Functionality: Ensure that your clipboard is functioning correctly. You can try copying and pasting from other applications to see if the clipboard is working as expected.
    5. Reboot Your Computer: A simple restart can often resolve unexpected issues.
    6. Reset Snipping Tool Settings: If possible, reset the settings of the Snipping Tool to default.

If the problem continues, it may be a bug specific to your version of Windows 11, and reporting it through the feedback option in the Snipping Tool may help Microsoft address the issue in future updates.
