In Active Directory When I click on group policy management there a container named Gropu policy Object, which contains all policies but it’s barely legible if you have vey much policies.

Is It possible to split this list in subsection (by analogy to folders/OU) where you can collect policies of a specific type into a subsection ? E.g:

subsection list in group policy object, where each folder contains one or more policies.

  • policies for screen management
  • policies for Edge management
  • policies for software deployment
  • ...

Hello CorsaroDelVento, actually, it's not. The Group Policy Objects (GPO) container in Active Directory cannot be subdivided into folders or subsections. All GPOs are stored in a flat list. To organize them, administrators typically use naming conventions, documentation, or linking GPOs to specific Organizational Units (OUs) rather than creating subsections inside the GPO container.

While the console itself does not support folder-like grouping, using clear naming and OU-based linking will give you a logical structure for policies such as screen management, Edge management, or software deployment.

I hope this clarifies the situation and helps you manage your GPOs more efficiently. If you find this answer helpful, please don’t forget to hit “Accept Answer” 🙂.
