Cannot log in Microsoft Teams

I used to have a skype account. Then earlier this year it was automatically transferred to Microsoft Teams which is working fine.

Now I changed a new computer and would like to log in Teams on the new computer with the Skype account.

But then I got this error:
You don't have the required permissions to access this orgTalk to your IT admin for more info or switch to another account.

But it is my personal acocunt, not a company account and there is no IT admin whatever.

The account is still working fine on the old computer but cannot log in on the new computer.

Uninstall any currently installed Teams application and install the latest version using this installer site:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app

Check also if you can login to Teams for Web app in your browser using your original Skype account:

Hi Bin Jin, I can imagine how frustrating that must feel especially when everything worked fine on your old computer and now you’re stuck with an error that makes no sense for a personal account.

Leave any old organizations linked to your account remove work/school associations in Windows uninstall all Teams versions and install the Home/Personal one clear saved credentials in Windows then test login in an incognito browser before using the app.

Have you already checked if your account is still linked to any old Skype migration organization under your Microsoft account settings?

    Best regards

    Lucky

It seems like you are encountering a permissions issue when trying to log into Microsoft Teams with your Skype account on your new computer. This error message typically indicates that the account you are using does not have the necessary permissions to access the organization associated with the Teams account.

Since you mentioned that this is a personal account and there is no IT admin, it could be that your account is not recognized as having access to Teams on the new device. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Ensure you are using the correct account: Double-check that you are logging in with the same Skype account that you used on your old computer.
    2. Clear cache and cookies: Sometimes, clearing the browser cache or the Teams app cache can resolve login issues. If you are using the Teams app, you can uninstall and reinstall it to clear any stored data.
    3. Check for updates: Make sure that the Teams app is updated to the latest version on your new computer.
    4. Try a different login method: If available, try logging in using a different method, such as using a web browser instead of the app.
    5. Contact Microsoft Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for assistance, as they may be able to provide more specific guidance based on your account status.

These steps should help you troubleshoot the issue and hopefully allow you to log in successfully on your new computer.
