Ensure you are entering the correct recovery key for the specific drive. The key ID shown on the recovery screen must match the key ID of the recovery key you have. If you have multiple keys saved, confirm the correct one.
Check the keyboard input because sometimes the keyboard layout on the recovery screen is different, for example, US layout instead of your local layout. Try typing the key in the password field first to confirm characters are correct. If you are using a wireless keyboard, switch to a wired keyboard or the laptop keyboard.
Confirm the input method. The recovery screen expects numbers only without dashes or spaces. Enter the 48-digit key without hyphens. Example: 123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678.
If the system is still unresponsive after typing the key, press Enter twice or try F10 as some systems use this to confirm input. If the screen freezes, it could indicate a hardware or operating system corruption issue.
