LAPS - Server Restart

Is a server restart required for LAPS to be successfully deployed?

I am deploying LAPS in an environment where the machine downloads and installs the LAPS client, the group policy is downloaded and applies the LAPS settings however when reviewing RSOP.MSC the Laps group policy is showing AdmPwd Success (No Data)

When enabling verbose logging, the event log indicates, "Admin account management not enabled, exiting."

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

  1. I would suggest you to reboot server after LAPS installed.
  2. Please check AD replication is in good health and are in Sync with all other DCs.
3 Please move the computer or user account to right OU or group where the LAPS GPO applied.
  3. On the client computer run gpresult /h C:\temp\gpresult.html to check if the GPO is applied and which GPO is winner,

Hope this helps.
