’m having an issue with File Explorer on my Windows PC. File Explorer will not open or respond properly. When I click on it, nothing happens (or it opens briefly and then freezes/crashes).

So far, the issue persists after restarting the computer. I’m not sure if this is related to a recent Windows update, a corrupted system file, or another background service.

I need some information about your installed Windows version... etc. because the available troubleshooting steps are different for Windows 10 and 11.

Click your Start Button, then just type winver and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting dialog box.
