Cannot create or edit a document in Word

Question

Cannot create or edit a document in any MS Office program. I receive a suggestion to activate my Office 365 which I never installed on my Mac (I have MS Office 2021 installed and operational since 2022). Thanks.

Hi,

Your Mac still has leftover Microsoft 365 trial license data, which conflicts with your Office 2021 activation. to fix this:

Remove old licenses using Microsoft’s License Removal Tool.

Reinstall Office 2021 from your Microsoft account and sign in with the correct account.
