Windows Hello Blocking App Usage

Every time I try to open certain Microsoft applications I get this popup (image provided). The email and account it wants me to sign in with, was hacked and I no longer have access to it. I have a new account and I want to sign in with my new account but because of this popup I am unable to. If I close out the popup, the application closes with it. I'm not sure how I could log in with this problem occurring.

2025-12-30T01:14:19.41+00:00 That pop-up isn’t an error message, it’s Windows telling you the app is trying to add/sign in a Microsoft account using Windows Account Manager, and requires Windows Hello to protect the saved sign-in token. When you click X, you’re effectively cancelling the sign-in flow, so the app closes with it.
- Close the app.
- Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
- Set up Windows Hello PIN :
- Select PIN (Windows Hello) > Add (or Set up), then create a PIN.
- Re-open the app and try signing in again, this time it should ask you to verify with the PIN and continue.
