I think the one drive concept is not any usefull to general users.

what the purposes of deleting original files from the machine. Next time when i will use the files i ve to download first that costs intermate charges and the cost of space also increased by the no of files.

If some one disable or delate the one drive that means the backup has gone and to use / to see these files some one have to install the one drive.

If some person have 2 or more then 2 machines that one drive makes the data back up as mess. The data of another PC comes to second one/

Kindly provide me the option to disable this app without hurting my data.

Regards

OneDrive has a setting named 'Files on Demand', if that setting is disabled, then the users files will also remain on the PC, if that setting is enabled, then the users files are synced to the cloud, then removed from the PC to save space on the PC, then when the user wants to access a file it is downloaded so the user can edit the file, then uploaded back to the cloud.

You are correct, OneDrive syncs files between your devices, so you have access to your files on any device, the only way to stop that inter-device syncing, is to use a different Microsoft account on each device.

If you do not want to use OneDrive to sync your files to the cloud, you can unlink your account from OneDrive's settings on the PC, then uninstall the OneDrive app.

OneDrive is designed to provide cloud storage and backup solutions, which can be beneficial for users in various ways. However, I understand your concerns regarding its functionality and how it impacts your workflow. Here are some points to consider:

    1. Purpose of Deleting Original Files: OneDrive's Files On-Demand feature allows users to access files without downloading them all to their device, which can save local storage space. However, if you prefer to keep files on your device, you can choose to download them and keep them offline.
    2. Internet Charges: If you frequently access files stored in OneDrive, it may incur internet charges if you need to download them repeatedly. You can manage which files are available offline to minimize this.
    3. Backup Concerns: If OneDrive is disabled or deleted, the files stored in the cloud will still be there unless you delete them manually. To access them again, you would need to reinstall OneDrive, but the data itself remains safe in the cloud.
    4. Multiple Devices: OneDrive syncs files across devices, which can sometimes lead to confusion if files are modified on different machines. You can manage sync settings to control which folders are synced to each device, helping to keep your data organized.
    5. Disabling OneDrive: If you want to disable OneDrive without losing your data, you can do so through the settings. You can also choose to stop syncing specific folders or files to prevent them from being backed up to OneDrive.

If you need specific instructions on how to disable or manage OneDrive settings, please refer to the official Microsoft support documentation.
