Multiple Personal Microsoft Learn Profiles

I have two personal Microsoft accounts. It's showing as a duplicate when I attempt to use it to register for a certification exam on PersonVue. I'm unable to merge the two accounts since they're both personal accounts.

If I delete a secondary personal microsoft learn profile, PersonVue may still have access to the old data. What do I do to make sure I don't have duplicates account records that could block my certification exam scheduling or scoring?

If you have two personal Microsoft accounts and are facing issues with duplicate records when registering for a certification exam on PersonVue, you may consider the following steps:

    1. Verify Your Accounts: Ensure that you are using the correct personal Microsoft account that is linked to your certification data when registering for the exam. You can check which account has your certification data by logging into your Microsoft Learn profile.
    2. Delete Unused Profiles: If you decide to delete a secondary personal Microsoft Learn profile, make sure to back up any important data first. However, keep in mind that deleting a profile does not automatically remove all associated records from PersonVue.
    3. Contact Support: If you are concerned about duplicate records affecting your exam scheduling or scoring, it may be beneficial to contact Microsoft support or PersonVue support directly. They can provide guidance on how to ensure that your certification data is correctly associated with the account you intend to use.
    4. Merge Profiles: Although merging profiles is not possible with two personal accounts, you can still manage your login accounts effectively. If you have any work or school accounts, consider adding them to your Learn profile for better management of your certifications.

By following these steps, you can help ensure that you do not encounter issues with duplicate account records during your certification exam process.
