One Drive Issue

So lets start with the question.

Why did windows Onedrive add itself to my computer when I choice for it not to during install?

After I installed windows on my computer I saw it added itself even after I choose not to use it on a fresh install.

After deleting Onedrive from my computer I notice that the settings had changed and was not allowing me to choose the destination of my saves anymore and would only allow me to save to Onedrive, (as I said before, I deleted it from the computer).

I thought it odd that it would be able to do so. So I looked into it and and saw my desktop folder was now part of Onedrive. I attempted to delete that folder(yes desktop) and it deletes all my folders from my computer. (All of them) Also strange.

I do have screen recordings of all this that will be on TIktok after a bit.

So is there a reason I am being forced into Onedrive after building a 6TB system?

Is there a reason I am not able to create another desktop folder after I delete the onedrive desktop folder?

Is there a reason I must purge my whole system now and start over and then still have the issue of Onedrive trying to force me to use it?

As you probably know, if you have 6TB of storage and don't want to use OneDrive, you shouldn't be using the Windows Standard folders—Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Music, and Videos—for most of your data.

You can turn off the backup of those folders in Manage Backup in the OneDrive settings, but it may be challenging to keep them in the OFF position.
