No audio device installed

Unable to turn volume on or up on my computer. "No audio device is installed" is the message I see when trying to increase volume from the task bar.

Hi, my name is Jan, and I'd like to help. This indicates that the system is unable to detect any output audio device or driver.

  • Power reset/cycle your computer. shut down the computer. then unplug your adapter for 30 seconds Press the power button for 10 seconds to turn it off then plug in your adapter. then power on your computer. and observe if the system stabilizes
  • Rollback the audio drivers. Open Device Manager Press the Windows key + X Select the Device Manager Expand Sound ,Video and game controllers s select the audio driver properties Then try to rollback drivers If the rollback option is unavailable. Uninstall then audio driver and restart the computer
  • Download the latest audio driver from the manufacturer support install the drivers and restart the computer.
