Screen sharing PDF in Teams call?

Hello! I have been trying to present a pdf document in a teams call...

The screen share tab in the Teams call never gives the option of sharing the pdf window. It shows other windows and desktop, but never Adobe PDF as its own share option.

Am I doing something worn? Is this on purpose, so that we only use powerpoint? It's very inconvenient as often slides are in PDF format.

Please help as I think this used to work!

    It is suggested you to open the PDF file before joining the call. MN_Brett315 gives an explanation about this as below in this thread for reference:

    As a workaround, you can also share the desktop screen.
