Hello NerteX, thanks for posting this in the community.

It sounds like your account may have experienced unauthorized access or a security compromise. The fact that an unknown phone number is showing up during password reset suggests that the recovery information was changed by someone else.

To try and recover your account, use Microsoft’s Account Recovery Form at https://account.live.com/acsr. Enter the email address of the compromised account and provide an alternate email address where Microsoft can contact you. Fill in as much information as possible, such as old passwords, subject lines of emails, Xbox details, or anything you remember. The more accurate details you provide, the higher the chance of recovery. Account recovery unsuccessful

If you cannot recall enough details, Microsoft may not be able to restore access for security reasons. In that case, the best option is to create a new Microsoft account and secure it with a strong password, updated recovery email and phone number, and enable Two-Step Verification.

    Kind regards,

If you're unable to reset your password because the phone number associated with your account is unknown to you, there are a few steps you can take:

    1. Contact Support: Since you mentioned that you can't recall the details of the account, it would be best to contact Microsoft support directly. They can assist you in recovering your account.
    2. Check for Other Admins: If this account is part of an organization, see if there are other admins who might be able to help you reset the password or verify your identity.
    3. Use Security Information: If you have security information set up, you might be able to use that to reset your password. This could include answering security questions or using an alternate email address.
    4. Account Recovery Form: If you have access to the recovery form, you can fill it out to verify your identity and regain access to your account.
    5. Try to Recall Details: Any information you can remember about the account, such as previous passwords, recovery email addresses, or security questions, can help in the recovery process.

Unfortunately, if you cannot provide any of the required information, it may be challenging to recover the account. It's crucial to act quickly, as there may be time limits on account recovery attempts.
