    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us today I understand how confusing it can be to suddenly see duplicates of your programs on your device and I know it can be frustrating when apps like Outlook, Messenger, Address Book or Facebook appear twice and start cluttering your Start menu or desktop. This often happens after a system update, an upgrade from older app versions to newer Microsoft Store versions or when shortcuts are recreated during the update process. In many cases one icon is for the classic desktop application while the other is for the newer Store version.

You can open each version to see which one you prefer to use then remove the extra one either by uninstalling it from Settings under Apps and Installed apps or by deleting the duplicate shortcut if that option appears when you right‑click it.

Do the duplicates appear only in your Start menu or do they also show up in your installed apps list?

I hope this answer is helpful if you have further questions feel free to reply back

    Regards,

    Marcelo

It seems that you are experiencing issues with duplicate applications or contacts appearing in your system. This can happen due to several reasons, such as synchronization errors or settings that cause multiple instances of the same application or contact to be created. For example, in Outlook, duplicate contacts can appear in the iOS Contacts app due to synchronization issues that occur when the sync process does not complete properly. This can lead to inconsistencies and duplicates being created over time.

To resolve duplicate contacts in Outlook, you can manually remove them by disabling the Save Contacts setting for the affected mail account, deleting duplicates from the iOS Contacts app, and then re-enabling the setting. However, keep in mind that this issue may recur if you have a large list of contacts.

For duplicate folders in Outlook, you can use a tool like MFCMAPI to delete the duplicate folders after ensuring that they are empty. Additionally, starting Outlook with the resetfolders switch can help in resetting folder structures.

If you are facing duplicates in other applications, it may be helpful to check the settings for those specific applications or look for synchronization issues that could be causing the problem.
