deleting more than 75 emails at a time

I get a lot of advertising emails from various websites I visit. Many I send to "other" from focused but either way, I want to delete them from wherever they reside. When I search a particular address and all the emails are batched together, I can only delete 75 at a time. Then I have to reenter the address, search again and the newly deleted emails appear on top forcing me to scroll down and delete more.

Then I move to the delete folder and it appears I can not delete all emails in one go....

There has got to be an easier / more efficient way?

I get why this feels like a hassle. The reason you’re hitting that limit is because Outlook on the web only allows deleting 75 items at a time for performance reasons, so it’s not something you can change in settings. The easiest way to handle this is to use the desktop Outlook app if you have it, search for the sender, press Ctrl+A to select all results, and delete them in one go. Then right-click the Deleted Items folder and choose Empty Folder to clear everything at once. If you’re sticking with the web version, try the Sweep option, it lets you remove all messages from a sender and even block future ones without repeating searches. Quick question: are you using Outlook on the web or the desktop app? That will help me point you to the fastest method.Regards,

To delete more than 75 emails at a time in Outlook, you might consider using the following approaches:

    1. Use Search Folders: Create a Search Folder that filters emails from specific senders or based on certain criteria. This way, you can view all relevant emails in one place and delete them in bulk.
    2. Batch Deletion via Rules: Set up rules to automatically move unwanted emails to a specific folder or delete them based on your criteria. This can help manage incoming emails more efficiently.
    3. Use the Outlook Web App (OWA): If you're using the desktop version, try accessing your email through the Outlook Web App, which may have different bulk deletion capabilities.
    4. Keyboard Shortcuts: Familiarize yourself with keyboard shortcuts for selecting multiple emails quickly. For instance, you can hold the Shift key to select a range of emails or the Ctrl key to select individual emails.
    5. Third-party Tools: Consider using third-party email management tools that can help you manage and delete emails in bulk more effectively.

Unfortunately, the native Outlook client may have limitations on the number of emails you can delete at once, and you may need to repeat the process for larger batches.
