    Hello,

How did you obtain your license initially?

Did it come with the device preinstalled, or did you purchase it?

If you purchased it, did you purchase from Microsoft, or from third party?

Is it originally a Win7/8 key?

When you change significant hardware components like the motherboard, it can affect Windows activation. The product key you are using may be tied to the previous hardware configuration, and thus it may not work after such changes. This is likely why you are experiencing issues with activation.

To resolve this, you can try the following steps:

    1. Reactivate Windows: If you're using a Multiple Activation Key (MAK), you can try reactivating Windows by using the command prompt with administrative privileges. Run the command slmgr.vbs /ato to attempt online activation.
    2. Check Product Key: Ensure that the product key you are using is valid for the version of Windows you have installed. If the key is for a different edition, it will not work.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact Microsoft Licensing Activation Centers for assistance, especially if the product key is blocked or if you need to verify its validity.

These steps should help you troubleshoot the activation issue after changing your motherboard.
