How to get the URL or ICS of a calendar. Work blocks synching. Just want one way (read only is fine). This didn;t work: Open Outlook.com's Settings (gear icon) > View all Outlook settings > Calendar > Shared Calendar and publish the calendar then copy the ics link. There is no option under settings calendar to publish. Thanks

    Hello !

Follow the steps outlined by the AI answer above.
If you cannot see the "Publish a calendar" section under "Share a calendar", it means that your IT administrator has blocked the ability to get an ICS link.
You'll need to ask your IT admin to enable this feature for you.

However, even if you cannot get an ICS file, you can still use the Outlook app on your phone to have your work calendar on-the-go.

Please let me know if you have any other questions !

To get the URL or ICS link of a calendar in Outlook, you will need to publish your calendar. However, if you're not seeing the option to publish your calendar in Outlook.com settings, it's possible that the feature may not be available for your account or configuration. Here’s a general approach to publish your calendar:

    1. Sign in to Outlook.com.
    2. Click on the Settings gear icon in the upper right corner.
    3. Select View all Outlook settings.
    4. Go to Calendar > Shared Calendar.
    5. Look for the option to publish your calendar. If available, you can copy the ICS link from there.

If you still cannot find the option to publish your calendar, you may need to check if your account has the necessary permissions or if there are any restrictions set by your organization.

For users on Exchange Server 2013, you can enable Internet calendar publishing, which allows sharing calendar availability information with external users. This involves configuring the mailbox server and creating a sharing policy.

If you have access to PowerShell, you can also publish the calendar using commands, but this requires appropriate permissions.
