    Hi @RJ ALHF

It sounds like you're running into an access issue with Azure Databricks. The error message indicates that your user account does not exist in the tenant and suggests that you need to be added as an external user to access the application.

Here are a few steps to help you resolve this:

Confirm Your Account Type: Make sure you are using an organizational account to log in to Azure Databricks. Personal Microsoft accounts aren’t supported. If you have only created a personal account, you'll need to create or switch to a work or school account.

Check Your Tenant: Ensure you are logging into the correct Azure tenant. You can do this by going to the Azure portal and verifying your account's tenant settings.

Role Assignment: If you are indeed using an organizational account, you might need the Account Admin role to access the account console. Please ask a Global Admin in your organization to assign you this role. The Admin can do this by following these steps:

    • Sign in to the Azure portal.
      • Navigate to Microsoft Entra ID > Roles and administrators.
        • Locate the Global Administrator role and ensure the correct users are assigned. Account Admin Help: If you can't access the account console because the only Account Admin has left the organization, it will require another Global Admin to reassign the Account Admin role.

If these steps don’t help or if you need more clarification, feel free to follow up with these questions:

    • Are you using a work or school account to log in?
    • Who manages Azure accounts in your organization? (Is there a Global Admin available?)
    • Have you been assigned any roles in the Databricks account?

What if I don't have organizational account? I only have personal gmail account.

RJ ALHF - Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

This video: Fix 'Selected User Does Not Exist in Tenant' | Microsoft Databricks Login Error (Step-by-Step) demonstrates how to resolve the "Selected User Does Not Exist in Tenant" error when logging into Microsoft Databricks using the "manage account".

Here is a summary of the detailed steps provided in the video:

    1. Identify the Login Issue: When attempting to log in to the Databricks account console using the "manage account" option with a standard personal email address, the user encounters an error stating, "Selected user account does not exist in the tenant Microsoft services and cannot access the application". Clicking "continue with the Microsoft enter ID" results in the same error.
    2. Locate the Correct User Principal Name (UPN): To resolve this, the user must select a different user ID.

        ◦ Go to the Microsoft Azure account.

        ◦ Use the search bar to find the "users" section.

        ◦ Look at the list of users to find the user principal name (UPN) that has an extension in it.

    1. Copy the UPN: Copy this user principal name that includes the extension.
    2. Log in with the UPN:

        ◦ Go back to the Databricks workspace.

        ◦ Click on "manage account".

        ◦ Select the other account option.

        ◦ Pass the extension ID (the copied UPN).

        ◦ Type the corresponding password and click "sign in".

    1. Confirm Successful Login: The login should now be successful, providing access to the account console using the user ID with the extension.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions or need additional assistance. Also, if these answers your query, do click the "Upvote" and click "Accept the answer" of which might be beneficial to other community members reading this thread.
