I set up my 2-step verification for one of my gaming accounts using the authenticator app, only to find out its missing when I need it to login into my account.

Is there a way to recover it?

I've not changed devices & wont be able to recover from back-up as I have added more accounts since then & dont want to erase those.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If your authenticator app is missing accounts, there are a few steps you can take to try to recover access:

    1. Check for App Updates: Ensure that your authenticator app is updated to the latest version. Sometimes, bugs in older versions can cause issues.
    2. Re-add the Account: If you have access to the recovery codes or backup methods provided when you set up 2-step verification, you can use those to re-add the account to your authenticator app.
    3. Contact Support: If you cannot recover the account using the above methods, consider reaching out to the support team of the service you are trying to access. They may have procedures in place to help you regain access.
    4. Avoid Deleting the App: If you have multiple accounts in the authenticator app, avoid deleting the app or resetting your device, as this could lead to losing all accounts stored in it.

Unfortunately, if you cannot access the recovery methods and the account is not visible in the app, it may not be possible to recover it without assistance from the service provider.
