I have bought a new phone and therefore my authenticator doesn’t work anymore. I need it for my school email and for my work email. How can I make it work if I can’t take the iPhone security copy from my iCloud and make it work. Please help

To set up Microsoft Authenticator on your new phone, you will need to follow these steps since you cannot restore from iCloud directly:

    1. Install Microsoft Authenticator: Download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the App Store on your new iPhone.
    2. Set Up Recovery Account: If you had previously set up a recovery account on your old device, you can use that to recover your work account credentials. If not, you will need to manually set up your accounts again.
    3. Access Your Accounts: For your school and work emails, you will need to sign in to each account on your new device. This may require you to use alternative verification methods (like SMS or email) if you no longer have access to the old device.
    4. Complete MFA Setup: If you had multifactor authentication (MFA) set up, you will need to complete the MFA process using your old device if it's still accessible. If not, you may need to contact your IT support for assistance in resetting your MFA settings.
    5. Enable Phone Sign-In: For future ease, consider enabling phone sign-in on your new device once you have set everything up. This will simplify the authentication process going forward.

Make sure not to remove the Authenticator app from your old phone until you have successfully set up your new device and completed the necessary MFA steps.
