I purchased a key for windows online, when activating my nely built PC and putting in the code it said it was a valid key, but not im using windows it shioows the activate windows at bottom right and it says the code has been used elsewhere, I contacted the retailer support who said it haden't and its an issue that can be fixed by using the "activate by phone" option but my country (united kingdom) does not appear in the coountry list, the country list only shows countrys A - P with nothing after P.

First thing to do is check the product key. If the key was at a reduced price it may not be valid.

Get ShowKeyPlus from the windows Store and enter the key at Check edition. What is shown about the licence. Does it confirm Windows 10/11 (Home or Pro) Retail or OEM. The edition, Home or Pro must match what you have installed.

I installed Microsoft Windows 11 Pro

It says the key is "Win 10 RTM Professional Retail"

Okay that's fine as the description appears to be correct for the licence. (either Windows 10 or 11)

What did you receive with the purchase was it just the product key or did you receive items with Microsoft labelling.?

I would suggest you contact Microsoft support directly via the Get Help app in windows. type in chat with an agent then select Contact Support.
