I cannot access my Outlook app. I put in my password and get the message

server_error: the contextid supplied in the request did not have a matching cookie

I have updated Chrome and Outlook and cleared cache?

Any ideas?

thanks

    Hi,

This article explains steps to resolve authentication errors that occur when using Outlook apps, which aligns closely with your scenario including error in matching cookies.

The error message you're encountering, "server_error: the contextid supplied in the request did not have a matching cookie," suggests that there may be an issue with the authentication process or cookie settings in your browser. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Clear Cookies and Cache: Since you've already cleared the cache, ensure that cookies are also cleared. Sometimes, specific cookies can cause issues with authentication.
    2. Check Browser Settings: Make sure that third-party cookies are not blocked in your browser settings, as this can interfere with the authentication process.
    3. Try a Different Browser: If the issue persists, try accessing Outlook using a different web browser to see if the problem is specific to Chrome.
    4. Use Outlook Web Access: If you're having trouble with the app, you can try accessing your Outlook account through the web interface at outlook.com.
    5. Check for Updates: Ensure that both your Outlook app and your operating system are fully updated, as updates can sometimes resolve underlying issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
