Hello. Does the popup appear immediately at sign-in, or only after the desktop fully loads and network connects?

    Try this:

    1. Right-click the Start button and select Terminal (Admin) or PowerShell (Admin).
    2. Copy and paste the following command into the window:
    Get-AppxPackage MicrosoftWindows.Client.AIX | Remove-AppxPackage

Press Enter and restart your PC. Windows will try to re-initialize the component correctly upon the next login.

    Dear @Howard Taylor,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter when using our services/ products. Based on your description, kindly try these following steps:

    Install all pending Windows updates

    Repair system files

    • Navigate to Command Prompt (Run as Administrator) > run:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    sfc /scannow

    • Reboot afterwards.

    Create a new local profile

    • Create a temporary local administrator account and sign in. If the error does not appear there, the issue is likely profile‑specific; keep the new profile or migrate data and remove the old profile after confirming.

    In‑place upgrade

If the issue persists, do a repair reinstall of the same Windows 11 edition/build. This refreshes all system components without removing your apps or files.

    • Download the Windows 11 ISO that matches your current edition/language.
    • Right‑click the ISO → Mount → run setup.exe.
    • Choose Keep personal files and apps and complete the install.

Kindly refer to this article for in-place upgrading: How to perform repair upgrade in Windows 11 - ARTICLE - Microsoft Q&A

The error message related to C:\Windows\SystemApps\MicrosoftWindows.Client.AIX_cw5nlh2txyewy\AIXHost.exe typically indicates an issue with the Microsoft Store apps or the application cache. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix underlying issues with system files.
    2. Reset the Microsoft Store Cache: You can reset the Microsoft Store cache by running the command wsreset.exe. To do this:
      • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
      • Type wsreset.exe and press Enter. This will clear the cache and may resolve the issue.
    3. Re-register Microsoft Store Apps: You can re-register the Microsoft Store apps by running a PowerShell command:
      • Open PowerShell as an administrator.
      • Run the following command:
             Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$_.InstallLocation\AppXManifest.xml"}

      • This command will re-register all installed apps, which can help resolve issues.
    4. Create a New User Account: If the issue persists, try creating a new user account to see if the problem is related to your current user profile. If the new account does not have the issue, consider migrating your data to the new account.
    5. Check for Corrupted Files: Run the System File Checker (SFC) to check for and repair corrupted system files:
      • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
      • Run the command sfc /scannow and wait for the process to complete.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consider more advanced troubleshooting steps or consult Microsoft support for further assistance.
