Hi

We have Exchange 2010 environment with multiple mailboxes.
I consider to encrypt system partition on a client Windows 10 computer by bitlocker.
On this partition is located default ost file from Outlook 2010/2013 (in our company we have default turn on exchange cache mode)
I have some question:

If this idea is a good practise ?
If this solution has some bad effect on working Outlook ? Slower working, hangouts etc.

Thanks for responses

Regards

Pit

    Hi @Piotr Maciejewski ,

If this solution has some bad effect on working Outlook ? Slower working, hangouts etc.

No. Based on my knowledge and my personal experience with bitlocker turned on, normally this solution won't have any bad impact on the working Outlook client. Also noticed in this thread that using Bitlocker is mentioned as a suggested way to protect files including OST files. If you still have concern on this, personally I'd recommend starting from a small number of users first, monitor some time period to see if everything goes well.
